Shannon Peters was born in and raised
in Los Angeles, Ca and relocated to the A.V in 2004.
She was told that at age 8 she would practice putting ponytails, and major haircuts on Gee Gee, the family poodle.
When in middle school one of her long time friends asked her to thermal texturize her hair clear out of the blue one day and Shannon said, "no way".
Her friend had an important engagement and wouldn't give up so Shannon gave in and took the challenge.
She and her friend were very impressed with the outcome and suggested almost simultaneously
(I should do this when I grow up!).
In high school she enrolled in the ROP program to earn graduating credits as well as hands on training in the trade of cosmetology.
It immediately became her passion, and the drive she had to become a Master Stylist was unbelievable. 
Shannon is now an educator, entrepreneur, and pioneer in the salon industry.
She has worked among the most talented professionals in the ever growing hair care business and continues to educate herself to keep up with the constant changes in styling trends. 
After working in the Los Angeles area for over 10 years she now practices full time in the A.V and is pleased to be a part of the bQute beauty bar and boutique family.
